Gary Barnidge Official Website

Gary is a native of Middleburg, Florida, where he was a standout at Middleburg High School in football and basketball.  His senior year he played both tight end and defensive end catching 17 receptions of which 5 were touchdowns and registered 65 tackles.  Gary was selected All-Conference, All-State, and named to the Florida-Times Union Top 24.  Additionally, Gary average 18.1 points per game on the hardwood.  Gary graduated from Middleburg High School in 2004, and moved on to the University of Louisville.

In 2004, as a true freshman, Gary appeared in 12 games, making 2 starts at tight end.  He finished the year with 7 receptions for 85 yards (12.1-yard average) and 4 touchdowns.

In 2005, as a sophomore, Gary appeared in 11 games, making 7 starts at tight end.  He finished with 17 receptions for 240 yards (14.1-yard average) and 2 touchdowns.

In 2006, as a junior, Gary started 12 of 13 games at tight end and had 31 receptions for 511 yards (16.5-yard average) and 4 touchdowns.  For his efforts as a junior, Gary was named to the 2007 John Mackey Award watch list.

In 2007, as a senior, Gary started all 12 games at tight end and had 53 receptions for 655 yards (12.4-yard average), a long of 81 yards, and 7 touchdowns.  He was the second leading receiver of the team.  For his efforts, Gary was a unanimous First Team All-Big East selection, named 1 of 8 semi-finalists for the John Mackey Award, and an Honorable Mention All-American selection.

For Gary's career, he played in 48 games, started 33 games, had 108 receptions for 1,491 yards (13.8-yard average) and scored 17 touchdowns.

Gary was born on September 22, 1985, is single, and has already graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Sports Administration (December 2007).  Gary played in the 2008 East-West Shrine Game and participated in the 2008 NFL Combine at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The following are times/measurements Gary posted (ranking amongst the other TE workout #'s):
